Peachtree City
Peachtree City is South of Atlanta covering a total area of 25.4 square miles with three lakes: Lake Kedron, Lake Peachtree, and Lake McIntosh. Its system of golf cart paths cover the town and provide access to almost any destination within city limits. Over 9,000 households own a golf cart, and use them as an extra vehicle for local transportation making the way of life in “PTC” very accessible and what many would consider an outdoor family dream. Peachtree City offers some stunning neighborhoods surrounded by gold courses and biking trails.
Fayetteville
Founded in 1822, Fayetteville neighbors to Peachtree City. In 2010 census, 4,264 families called Fayetteville their home with 15,945 people in all. The County Courthouse is the oldest surviving courthouse in Georgia, built in 1825. Celebrity sightings are often, as Pinewood Atlanta Studios opened here in 2014, otherwise known as the largest film and television production studio in the United States outside of California. Fayetteville also offers some great restaurants that go beyond the regular chains and offer amazing cuisine.
Senoia
Senoia, a quiet and quaint little town that borders to the north by Peachtree City, located 35 minutes away from Atlanta. Its population is more than 3,307 covering much of 5.4 square miles. It has been chosen twice to host the Southern Living Idea House (2010 and 2012), and is the location of Riverwood Studios, principal studio for famous productions such as “The Walking Dead”. Many have claimed the motto for this town to be “The Perfect Place to Live. For Life” Senoia is truly a perfect place to raise your family.
Newnan
Newnan, in Coweta County, is roughly 40 miles southwest of Atlanta. It has a total area of 18.6 square miles, and as of the 2010 census, 33,000 residents. Considered a fast growing town, Newnan has had a 103.4% population increase since 2000. It was established in 1828 and was largely untouched by the Civil War due to its status as a hospital city for both Union and Confederate troops, hence the name “City of Homes”. As a result, Newnan still features much antebellum architecture and is considered one of the best places to live South of Atlanta.
Tyrone
Tyrone, nested in the Northwest corner of Fayette between Peachtree City and Newnan, has a total area of 12.9 square miles. In 2014, 7,135 people called Tyrone home. There are three public schools: Burch Elementary, Flat Rock Middle, and Sandy Creek High School. Over the past decade, Tyrone has been consistently named one of the safest places to live in Georgia and in 2010 it was named in the “Top 10 Best Atlanta Suburbs for Families” and “The Happiest City to Live In” in 2015.
Atlanta
Atlanta is the largest city in Georgia, as well as the state’s capital. Atlanta is home to over 10 Fortune 500 companies, including companies like The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Airlines, Home Depot, and UPS. In 2005, the Atlanta metropolitan area was ranked third behind New York and Houston on the list of cities with the most Fortune 500 headquarters. It is home to over 400,000 residents and to the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons and MLS Champions Atlanta United, among other incredible attractions.
